This morning, the Israeli army renewed artillery shelling on the outskirts of several border towns in southern Lebanon after a hot night that included violent shelling, the firing of flares, and air strikes, according to the official Lebanese News Agency.
Since October 8, the Lebanese-Israeli border areas have witnessed mutual clashes between members of Hezbollah and Palestinian factions on the one hand, and the Israeli army on the other.
The clashes come as a result of a devastating war waged by Israel 35 days ago on the Gaza Strip, during which 10,812 Palestinians were martyred, including 4,412 children and 2,918 women and girls.
