In the past 24 hours, Brazil has recorded a record number of Corona virus deaths since the beginning of the health crisis, as 1641 deaths were documented, according to the Ministry of Health data on Tuesday.
Brazil recorded 1,595 deaths last July, the highest daily toll since the outbreak of the epidemic.
The number of victims of the epidemic in the country exceeded 257,000 deaths, according to official data.
About 60,000 new confirmed cases were also identified in the South American country, bringing the total to about 10.6 million.
Brazil, the country most affected by the health crisis after the United States in terms of the number of deaths, is facing a new outbreak of the epidemic that threatens the health system to collapse.
On Tuesday, the governors said they would take steps to purchase the “COVID-19” vaccines themselves to bypass the federal government, which has been criticized for slowing vaccine deployment.
