Social media platforms were abuzz with a video clip published by Israeli Channel 12, documenting a scene documenting Israeli soldiers assaulting a Palestinian prisoner in a camp. Sadi Teman In the Negev desert.
The Israeli channel said that the prisoner was tortured and sexually assaulted by soldiers who tried to hide their faces because they knew there were surveillance cameras.
An Israeli military court extended the detention of five soldiers accused of abusing the Palestinian prisoner until next Sunday, after the prosecution presented more data and evidence confirming their involvement in the case.

The clip sparked anger and shock among social media users, who described the scene as a major scandal for the occupying state. Bloggers said it was a new crime added to the record of crimes committed by occupation soldiers in the notorious Sde Teiman camp.

Others pointed out that the occupation soldiers tried to hide their faces because they knew that what they were doing was shameful and far removed from human nature.

Others called for preserving and collecting such clips that show the violations committed by the occupation soldiers against Palestinian prisoners, and sending them to international courts to prosecute those they described as criminals.

One of the bloggers wondered about publishing the video at this time, saying: Why did the Hebrew (Israeli) media talk about this issue and cause a huge uproar, even though it harms Israel’s image?
He answers from his point of view that the reason is not love for the Palestinians or humanitarian concern. But the real reason – according to the blogger – is that the scenes filmed by the soldiers were leaked to social media.
The occupying state worked to delete it for fear of it being leaked globally, and it also arrested the soldiers to show that it was preventing this crime, which caused an internal uproar at the time.
One of the bloggers drew attention to the fact that there are hundreds of similar incidents that have occurred and are occurring in terms of violations by the occupation soldiers against the people of Gaza and the Palestinian people, but they are not documented or leaked, so they have not been discussed or those responsible held accountable.
At the beginning of the video, Palestinian prisoners are seen lying on the ground, handcuffed and blindfolded, in Sde Teiman Prison. Suddenly, a group of reserve soldiers from Unit 100 are seen taking one of the prisoners aside. They appear to have been aware of the surveillance cameras, and apparently tried to hide their actions with shields.
