Yemen’s Houthi rebels have announced that their prime minister and several other ministers were killed in an Israeli airstrike on Thursday.
According to a presidential statement broadcast on Houthi-run television, the officials were targeted during a government workshop intended to review their performance over the past year.
Israel has not issued an immediate comment on the specific allegation. However, Israeli officials confirmed on Thursday that they had targeted Houthi leadership, following a recent missile attack by the group that deployed a new type of cluster submunition.
