In an interview with “Sputnik” Radio, Kuzmenko said, first of all, it could damage the smartphone, the electrical power adapter (charger), used to charge it. Because these devices are different, not all of them can be suitable for charging your personal phone, for example. Therefore, it is necessary to know the technical characteristics of the phone first of all.
He says, “The standard power adapter gives 5 volts and 1.5 amperes. There are power inverters for fast charging. But when using them, the phone’s ability to withstand high wattage must be taken into account. That is, before using fast charging, the phone’s characteristics must be known and not to use an electric capacity higher than Specified. “
Neglecting these rules, he says, results in damage in the best case to the phone’s battery, and in the worst case to burning the phone itself. The same thing can happen when using portable chargers as well.
Kuzmenko points out, “China produces devices for charging phones with two outputs: the first gives 5 volts and the second is 10 volts. The user believes that connecting the phone to the second output will speed up charging it. But after about a year of use, the smartphone battery loses its capacity.”
