The Consumer Advice Center in the German state of Bavaria said that digestive problems are among the common health problems among women in this stage MenopauseHe explained that the hormonal disturbances that occur at this stage also cause problems in the digestive system, as women suffer from bloating, pain, abdominal cramps, and constipation.
The center added that women can face digestive problems during menopause through proper nutrition, as they should eat foods rich in dietary fiber, such as whole grain products, vegetables, fruits, and nuts, as dietary fiber stimulates bowel movement, which enhances the digestive process.
At the same time, foods that cause a feeling of bloating, such as legumes, onions, garlic, and cabbage, should be reduced. Sugar, salt, baked goods, canned goods, sausages, potato chips and fast food should also be reduced, in addition to saturated fats found in sweets, for example.
It is also important to drink adequate fluids, at a rate of no less than 1.5 liters per day.
In addition to proper nutrition, you should also continue exercising and motor activities, as they stimulate bowel movement, which leads to stimulating the digestive process.
