LAKE ORION, Mich. – The state of Michigan is investigating after the sudden demise of lots of of frequent carp in Oakland County.
All the deaths have been reported because the center of July in Lake Orion.
“It’s not a difficulty with the lake. We’ve got the water checked continuously with the heath division,” stated Lake Orion Village Supervisor Joe Younger.
Sara Thomas with the Michigan Department of Natural Resources (DNR) Fisheries Division stated the lifeless carp is a results of a virus. Nevertheless, Thomas stated the virus is just not dangerous to folks.

“All of these viruses affect the frequent carp and under no circumstances to transmit to folks or canines,” she stated, mentioning that viruses final for a number of weeks.
