In the capital, nine people were wounded by shots while celebrating the 4th of July; and in Shreveport, Louisiana, four people were reported dead and seven injured at another independence celebration. The data shows that July 4 saw the most mass shootings of any day of the year in nearly a decade, according to a Trends Wide analysis.
