I turned my life around with the art of ‘manifesting’ after battling addiction for 10 years and I now help others do the same – but critics say I’m a ‘scam artist’
Viewers of This Morning have labelled a woman, who believes manifesting changed her life, a ‘scam artist’.
Roxie Nafousie, 32, appeared on the popular ITV programme’s sofa on Tuesday to promote her new book ‘Manifest Dive Deeper.
Roxie explained how the art of ‘manifesting’ turned her life around after she hit rock bottom in 2018 and detailed several steps people can take to learn how to help themselves.
The best-selling author told Holly Willoughby and Philip Schofield: ‘Manifesting is using the power of your mind to change and create the reality you experience.
‘To manifest, literally means to make it happen. And for me it’s a self-development practice.’
Best-selling author Roxie Nafousie, 32, (pictured) joined Holly and Phil on This Morning to discuss her new book on the art of manifesting
She told the hosts that she had ‘really visualised herself sat on this sofa’ with the pair.
Continuing, the self development coach described how her twenties had seen her ‘hit rock bottom,’ after she ‘had been in a battle with addiction for 10 years’ and had ‘no self worth.’
Yet, after a teacher training course she thought she would turn her life around but didn’t until a friend recommended a manifesting podcast. It was from this point that Roxie learnt about the value of self worth.
Delving deeper, she explained to Holly and Phil how she has seven steps to manifesting, which are quite active such as undoing fear and doubt and realigning your behaviour to ‘step outside of your comfort zone.’
The first step is to reprogram the subconscious and our way of thinking to know what you want.
The second step is to remove fear and doubt before aligning your behaviour and taking risks for the third step.
Step four is how to deal with challenges and stress, while step five is embracing gratitude without caveat, step six is to turn envy into inspiration and the final step is to trust in the universe and accept that “everything will be okay”.
However, viewers remained unconvinced and sceptical of the author’s advice, and took to Twitter to call her a ‘scam artist.’
