The identity of a Facebook whistleblower who posted thousands of investigation pages and internal documents was revealed Sunday on “60 Minutes.” Frances Haugen, a former Product Manager at Facebook, said the disclosed documents show that the company knows that they use their platforms to spread hate, violence and disinformation, but are trying to hide that evidence. Following the broadcast of the interview, Facebook rejected the reports, saying there were “missing facts” and select materials were used to tell a misleading story.
