The International Center for Football History and Statistics (IFFHS) announced today, Tuesday, that Lionel Messi, the star and captain of Barcelona, is the best playmaker in the last ten years.
Messi topped the list of the 20 best playmakers in the last decade with 174 points, and Andres Iniesta, former Barcelona star and Vesel Kobe, the Japanese now, with 127 points, came in third place, Real Madrid’s Luka Modric, ranked third with 113 points.

Juventus’ top scorer, Cristiano Ronaldo, is 12th on the list with 54 points.

Messi won the award for best playmaker in 4 seasons during the last decade, in the years 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2019), while it came second in 2011, 2014, 2018 and 2020.
