I’m a Celebrity viewers were left fuming on Friday as Ruthie Henshall seemingly cheated and lied her way through a live trial.
The West End star, 53, had joined her fellow celebrities in the trial area for the live task in which the girls went head-to-head with the boys in The Royal Tournament, where they attempted to win a banquet for their side.
However, Ruthie became a little too competitive as she was accused of cheating during her part of the challenge before being exposed by Ant and Dec, with one fan declaring they ‘can’t believe that woman!’.

The trial was split up into different segments, the first of which saw Ruthie and Holly Arnold MBE team up to take on Jordan North and Shane Richie.
They were all tasked with finding as many coins as possible in troughs full of slime and offal using only their mouths.
However, several viewers spotted Ruthie using her hand and one point, commenting that she’d used her hand to put her coin in her mouth.
But that wasn’t all, as when it came to to counting the coins collected, the singer appeared to lie to Ant and Dec about how many coins she had.

As she declared that she had three coins, the same as the boys, Dec went over to check and clarified that she had in fact only had two coins.
But while the contestants laughed off her dishonesty, viewers took to Twitter in their droves to call out Ruthie’s shocking behaviour.
‘Can’t believe that woman… what a cheat!’ fumed one viewer.
While another remarked: ‘Oh Ruthie Ruthie Ruthie!!! Why do you feel the need to cheat ??!!!? First with your hands, then with the counting!!! You’re on the naughty list!!!’

The two had to put their head in a box of rats while their arms were locked in stocks, with the duo tasked with unscrewing coins which were near their hands.
But a terrified Jess was too scared to put her head in the box, forcing Ant and Dec to hurry her along as they were on a time limit with the live show.

This resulted in the EastEnders star taking part in the trial with her hands not firmly held in place, while AJ’s hands were secure during the trial.
Fans once more flooded social media calling out Jess’ unfair advantage in the challenge, with many calling for her to be ‘disqualified’ as she ‘cheated’.
‘Jess wasn’t in stocks properly so had more movement of arm – unfair and her coins shouldn’t have counted’ noted one watcher.
While another simply declared: ‘Jess fully cheated #ImACeleb.

In the end, despite the mishaps, the boys emerged victorious and won themselves a sumptuous banquet.
While the losing girls were in for another meal of rice and beans and will also face the next trial.
