The Saudi navy was able to intercept and confiscate a shipment of drugs in international waters in the Arabian Sea.
The operation, “Mixed Duty Force 150” of the Saudi Navy, was carried out. The USS Port Royal, while operating under the command of the force, intercepted and searched a suspected ship. The operation resulted in the seizure and confiscation of 182 kg of the narcotic methamphetamine in addition to 272 kg of Heroin.
It is noteworthy that the “mixed duty force 150” achieved successive successes through several specific operations, during which it managed to confiscate and destroy large quantities of drugs, totaling about four tons, which varied between hashish, heroin and methamphetamine. Preventing smugglers from using the seas for illegal purposes would deprive terrorist organizations of funding, as drugs are one of the most important sources of funding for terrorist organizations.
