Al-Sheikh confirmed his refusal to contract with Zamalek star Mustafa Mohamed for his team during the summer transfer period, and revealed the fact that he interfered with the Uruguayan side, Gaston Sereno, South African Sun Downs star, to Al-Ahly.
He said: “I am a fan of Al-Ahly and I will remain a fan. I wish the team good luck in the Club World Cup next February, and achieving good results.”
And he continued: “I am amazed by the news reported by some that I spoiled the Serino transfer deal to Al-Ahly, in order to join Al-Hilal, and the truth is that this did not happen at all, and I do not know why my name is being thrown alone in these matters?”
He concluded: “I am ready to support Al-Ahly with any deal they want, but the believer is not stung twice from the hole. If he asks me to do so, I will support Al-Ahly, and in the end I am a supporter of the Red Team, and all success is for Al-Ahly and the Sudanese Crescent.”
Al-Sheikh announced, on Sunday, that he had accepted the honorary presidency of the Sudanese club Al-Hilal, as he plans to support the club with any deals, coaches or facilities development during the coming period.
