A Spanish report monitored the 20 clubs that spent the most on the salaries of their football teams, and as expected, English teams dominated the list, which included an Arab team, and it included some surprises.
The list includes 11 teams from the English Premier League, 3 teams from the Spanish League, 3 from the Italian League, in addition to two teams from the French League.
The surprise was the presence of an Arab team, Al Hilal Saudi Arabia, in addition to leaders Chelsea and Manchester United, in light of their poor results.
The list of the 20 teams that spend the most on players’ salaries on an annual basis is as follows:
