Indiana Pacers’ Buddy Hield gets slapped with a $25k fine for flipping the bird not once but TWICE against the Charlotte Hornets
Indiana Pacers guard Buddy Hield has been handed a $25,000 fine by the NBA for showing his middle finger on the live broadcast of the team’s game against the Charlotte Hornets earlier this week.
Sitting next to third-year guard Tyrese Haliburton on the bench during the second quarter of Monday’s 109-115 loss, the 30-year-old was seen flipping the bird toward someone, not once but twice.
It remains unclear who exactly Hield was trying to make the obscene gesture to, as courtside footage shows the Bahamian appearing to be deep into his thoughts prior to flashing his left middle finger a second time.
He even managed to crack a smile in between gestures, which is a possible hint that he may have been fooling around.
Hield ended up with a team high-tying 20 points in Monday’s setback. The Pacers currently rank 11th in the Eastern Conference with an overall 32-40 record ahead of their matchup with the Toronto Raptors on Wednesday.
