INDIANAPOLIS — A member of the Indianapolis Colts staff has tested positive for COVID-19, according to a release by the team Thursday morning, and is self-quarantining under the care of team doctors.
Indianapolis has begun contact tracing to determine if any other staff members were high-risk close contacts of the individual.
The Colts will hold all meetings virtually on Thursday but still practice in-person. Under NFL rules, the team is now in intensive protocol, which requires rapid point-of-care testing in addition to the daily PCR testing, players to wear masks at all times, even when practicing, virtual meetings, gloves for players on the practice field and bans gatherings away from the facility.
