INE and the PRI sign agreement for the verification of militancy

The Institutional Revolutionary Party (AT) and the National Electoral Institute (INE) signed a collaboration agreement, through which this political party will launch a mobile application that will allow it to collect affiliations, ratification and endorsement of its militants throughout the country.

Within the framework of the 94th anniversary of the tricolor party, and in an act that took place at the INE headquarters, the agreement was signed by the president of the National Executive Committee (CEN) of the ATAlejandro Moreno, and the president of the general council of the electoral body, Lorenzo Córdova.

Electoral adviser Ciro Murayama explained that the agreement will allow the AT use the mobile application INE that helps to verify and capture the support that citizens give, in this case, the affiliations that PRI militants make to this political institute.

“This application is available to all political forces equally. With this, what the INE wants is to promote two things: one, to facilitate the right to free association, which is a guarantee present in article 35 of our Political Constitution for all citizens, and at the same time, to facilitate parties the possibility of maintaining adequate control of its list of militants,” he explained.

With the use of the digital tool, the National Coordination of Affiliation and Party Registration of the AT it will guarantee that all militants in the more than 2,400 municipalities of the Republic can access it.

“Through the implementation of new tools, the tricolor has the firm conviction of moving towards a technological, digital and innovative party, always hand in hand with social causes,” said the party.

With the mobile app, the AT it will be able to greatly reduce the use of paper in the affiliation of its militants. Alejandro Moreno endorsed his commitment to the electoral referee to continue contributing to the democratic life of the country.

The mobile application will include a field to collect contact information from affiliated citizens through this digital tool, with the purpose of giving priority to communication with the militancy.

It should be noted that the AT It has already implemented a digital tool for the purpose of collecting affiliations. This was done between October 1, 2019 and March 31, 2020, when it managed to capture a total of 88,533 records.

For this reason, it is estimated that in the coming months the Institutional Revolutionary Party it will feed its list of militants with a large number of records.

This event was also attended by the general secretary of the CEN of the PRI, Carolina Viggiano; federal deputies, as well as state leaders and leaders of sectors and party organizations.
