Jodi Gordon has rarely been out of the headlines over the years – in part due to her modelling and acting career, but also because of her off-screen scandals.
And while fans are well-versed with her professional achievements since her rise to fame on Home and Away in 2005, it’s fair to say her personal life has been a roller-coaster ride of short-lived romances, bitter break-ups and devastating tragedy.
The sad story of the 35-year-old’s tumultuous love life began in her younger years, when she lost her ‘beloved soulmate’ at the age of just 21.

A 16-year-old Jodi briefly dated Chris Burkhardt in 2002, before her modelling career took her to Milan and they ended things.
Three years later, in 2005, the pair were reunited with the help of mutual friends on Valentine’s Day and their relationship became official.
But their fairytale romance didn’t last: tragedy struck in May 2006 when Christopher was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive form of acute myeloid leukemia aged 23.
In 2007, Jodi was by Christopher’s side when he slipped into a coma. He died a week later, on March 4, leaving 21-year-old Jodi ‘shattered’.
In an emotional interview with New Idea shortly after his diagnosis, Chris said his life with Jodi had been ‘perfect’ before his health declined.

‘We used to say to each other, “How perfect are our lives?” We both had great jobs and were in a great relationship. It was all peaches and cream,’ he said.
Following Christopher’s death, Jodi found love in 2007 with Channel Seven heir Ryan Stokes, who is the son of billionaire businessman Kerry Stokes.
The pair dated for about two years, and appeared to be the picture of happiness as they attended numerous red carpet events together.
But they went through a painfully public split in 2009 shortly after getting engaged.
Troubled Jodi was embroiled in a bizarre drug scandal with bikie associate and Kings Cross identity Mark Judge.
The pair were found by police huddled in the bedroom of Mark’s Bellevue Hill home, after Jodi had called Triple Zero under the delusion that armed intruders were threatening her life – sparking an emergency operation.

Police reviewed CCTV footage and found no sign of any intruders – only Jodi and Mark hiding in a bedroom.
Jodi allegedly told officers during an interview following the bizarre episode that cocaine had been consumed earlier that night.
A day earlier, her fiancé Ryan had called Kings Cross police to report Jodi missing after a night out. The pair broke up soon after the scandal.
Following her split from Ryan, Jodi went on to date the man who would become her husband: rugby league player Braith Anasta.
The pair got engaged in July 2011, and married in Bali in October the following year.
Just 10 months later, they announced they were expecting their first child together, a daughter named Aleeia, who is now six years old.

However, the couple sadly split in 2015.
Jodi said a year later that their marriage had ended because they had ‘different priorities’, adding: ‘There were many people who were surprised, but it wasn’t for us or our immediate family.’
They now co-parent Aleeia, with Braith as the primary carer.

A year after her marriage split, Jodi dated real estate agent Warren Ginsberg, but their romance was short-lived.
The actress’s busy schedule, which at the time involved flying back and forth between Sydney and Melbourne to film Neighbours, was said to have caused the break-up.
Several months after she quit her role as Elly Conway on Neighbours, Jodi began dating a lawyer named Cedric around July this year.
Unfortunately, this relationship didn’t last either.

In August, a close friend confirmed the pair’s split to Daily Mail Australia, but said they ‘still remain good friends’.
Then, on November 21, Jodi announced on Instagram that she had found love once again with British banker Sebastian Blackler.
Jodi confirmed the romance by sharing a picture of the couple on Instagram, which she captioned: ‘When life gets wonderful…’
But their relationship made headlines for all the wrong reasons on Monday, after it was revealed that Sebastian was to face court over an apprehended violence order taken out by police just a week after Jodi went public with their relationship.
Police took out an interim AVO, allegedly to protect Gordon from Blackler, 30, after attending her eastern suburbs home eight days ago.

Police were called to Gordon’s house in Double Bay shortly after midnight last Friday after reports of a disturbance.
‘Around 12.30am on Friday, November 27, 2020, officers were called to a unit at Wiston Gardens at Double Bay,’ a NSW Police spokesman said.
‘Following inquiries, officers from Eastern Suburbs suspended the investigation at the request of the victim. No further action is expected at this time.’
Police subsequently took out an interim AVO to prevent Blackler from assaulting, threatening, stalking, harassing or intimidating Gordon.
He also must not approach her after drinking alcohol or taking illicit drugs.
Daily Mail Australia is not suggesting Mr Blackler is alleged to have done any of those things, and police have laid no charges against him.
The investment portfolio manager appeared briefly in Sydney’s Downing Centre Local Court on Thursday without Gordon, but accompanied by a lawyer.
The couple appear to still be an item, as they were pictured leaving Jodi’s home together on Thursday, shortly after he faced court.
The matter has been adjourned until next week.
Relationship: Sebastian is a British-born investment portfolio manager. It is believed he and Jodi began going out some weeks before she announced the relationship on November 21
