Mark Wahlberg is currently quarantining in a luxury retreat outside of Byron Bay.

After arriving in Australia last week with his encourage, the Hollywood star flew to Byron Bay via private jet before making his way to the $2500 per night property.

It is understood that the 49-year-old was granted permission to skip the usual hotel quarantine and allowed to self-isolate at the private estate instead.

The countryside retreat features 24/7 security, including two NSW police officers, to ensure that the Boogie Nights hunk will be safe at all times and is following quarantine protocol.

There’s also a private ambulance on standby too.

According to estimates, the total cost of the two-week quarantine could set the actor back around $400,000.

The NSW Government website states that people returning from overseas are only exempt from staying at a quarantine hotel if there are ‘strong medical, health or compassionate grounds’.

Photos from the interior of the private property show a spacious living area with country-inspired décor, including a cow hide carpet.

The sprawling retreat is surrounded by luscious green plains and trees, giving Mark plenty of privacy.

The fitness fanatic reportedly brought an entire gym setup with him for the quarantine so he could stay on top of his workout regimen.

Photos taken of the property show the muscular star standing shirtless by the pool in a pair of board shorts and slides.

According to The Daily Telegraph, the father-of-four is Down Under to shoot a global ad campaign for online betting agency Ladbrokes.
