The Assistant Minister of Health and Head of the Food and Drug Organization in Iran, Mohammad Reza Shana Saz, announced that talks will be held with the Russian side on the joint production of the Russian “Sputnik v” vaccine against the Coronavirus.
On Thursday, at the end of his visit to Russia, Sane Saz said that the Russian side had obtained very good information about the capabilities of drug and vaccine production companies in Iran.

He added that during this visit, the ambiguity around the production of the Corona vaccine was removed, and talks were held regarding the joint production of the Coronavirus vaccine.
He added that the Iranian delegation visited the vaccine production line in Russia, expressing its hope to accelerate the production of the Corona vaccine in Iran, with the aim of expanding the vaccination process as well as providing the possibility of exporting the vaccine to countries in the region.
On Tuesday, Iran began the vaccination campaign using the Russian “Sputnik V” vaccine against the Corona virus, as it received last Thursday its first batch of half a million doses, while the second batch will arrive by February 18, and the third batch by February 28, where the vaccine will be sent on Payments every two weeks.
