The semi-official Tasnim news agency reported on Monday that Iran is keeping the crew members of a South Korean-flagged ship it detained earlier today in the Strait of Hormuz.
The agency added that the crew members, who are from South Korea, Indonesia, Vietnam and Myanmar are being held in the coastal city of Bandar Abbas, without specifying their number.
The British Maritime Trade Operations Authority had said that an “incident” between the Iranian authorities and a merchant ship at the Strait of Hormuz led to the ship changing its course and entering Iranian territorial waters.
