Iranian media have published on social media a new video clip of the Iranian missile strike on the “Ain Al-Assad” base in western Iraq, where US forces are stationed.
The video shows an Iranian operations room and the moment of pressing the launch button for the missiles that fell inside the base in Anbar Province, western Iraq, causing huge explosions at the site, where the flames of fire escalated to tens of meters.
At the time, the Iranian Revolutionary Guard said, “The attack killed 80 American soldiers,” while the United States denied any deaths among its forces.
The Iranian Revolutionary Guard carried out its attack on the bases of “Ain Al-Assad” in Anbar and “Harir” in Erbil, in Iraqi Kurdistan, in response to the assassination of the commander of the “Quds Force” Qassem Soleimani in an American air strike near Baghdad airport last year.
Last March, the US military deployed Patriot missiles for air defense, two months after its forces were attacked by Iran.
