The Iranian Ministry of Defense unveiled the sophisticated assault rifle, “the Massaf”, and a number of sporting weapons produced in Iran.
The ceremony took place in the presence of the Minister of Defense and the Support of the Iranian Armed Forces, Brigadier General Amir Hatami.
The “Mussaf” rifle of 7.62 x 51 mm is considered a single weapon, and was previously unveiled in a model of 45 mm.
This weapon has three positions, a guarantor, a sniper, and a machine gun, and a standard “Picatini” rail is installed on it, allowing the attachment of peripheral devices such as periscope, red point, grenade launcher and tripod.
This new model of the “Massaf” rifle has the ability to fire all rounds of 7.62 × 51 caliber.
The effective range of the rifle with the scope is 800 meters in the daytime and 600 meters with a thermal camera. All design and production stages have been carried out by local experts in the Defense Industries Organization of Iran, and this new model of “Masafi” rifle will be delivered to the ground forces of the Iranian army.
Sporting weapons were also unveiled at this ceremony, namely the Homak Sport Rifle (Model Trapp), Sorena 2 Sport Rifle (Sporting Model), Arta Air Rifle (4.5 and 5.5), Touka Air Rifle (Automatic Switch) and PCP Air Rifle.
