The Iranian embassy in Moscow received the third batch of “Sputnik V” anti-corona virus vaccine, containing 200,000 doses, to be sent to Tehran tomorrow morning, Thursday, on board a Mahan plane.
A spokesman for the Iranian Medicines and Food Corporation, Kyanosh Jahanpour, announced last month that the second batch of the Russian “Sputnik V” vaccine had arrived in Tehran with 100,000 doses.
In Iran, last February, a free and voluntary vaccination campaign for the population against the Corona virus began with several vaccines, led by the Russian “Sputnik V”.
In the first phase, workers in intensive care and intensive treatment units will be vaccinated.
In the next step, the remaining medical workers and elderly people over the age of 65 will be vaccinated.
And next April, the authorities will start using an Iranian vaccine for vaccination operations.
