The head of the “Iraqis” coalition, Ammar al-Hakim, called today, Sunday, to create a “cross-component” project, while stressing the importance of “closing the doors in the face of extremism and extremism.”
“The security of Iraq is indivisible, and what befell Baghdad affects everyone, and what befalls Erbil, the center or the south, affects everyone, so we must all work to strictly control security in all regions of Iraq,” he said during a speech on the “Iraqi martyr” day in Erbil governorate.
He added, “I invite you to create a stubborn Iraqi dream that includes the dreams of all the original components of the country, a sincere dream that brings the dreams of Arabs, Kurds and Turkmen together in a realistic and renewed national project, to strengthen its results and get all its benefits.”
Al-Hakim continued: “Let us close the doors and windows in the face of extremism, extremism and tension from all sides, and open a white Iraqi page, in which we line our common concerns and address our emergency crises and create through it a project that transcends the components, which includes us on its sides and paves us all of the strength and resilience of a strong Iraqi state that includes a strong Kurdish region.” And Iraqi provinces are strong and dignified, as approved by the constitution. “
Al-Hakim constantly calls for the formation of a “cross-component alliance” that includes personalities from all Iraqi sects, in an attempt to break the base of alliances based on a single identity.
