Today, Saturday, the Supreme Committee for Health and Safety in Iraq announced the re-imposition of a partial curfew after the increase in Coronavirus infections in recent days.
The curfew will be imposed according to the committee’s decision, from eight in the evening to five in the morning, starting from the eighteenth of this month for a period of two weeks.
The committee decided to exclude the cadres of the Ministry of Health, security forces, service departments and stores selling vegetables from the curfew.
It also prohibited the establishment of mourning councils, with the imposition of a fine of five million Iraqi dinars (approximately 3750 dollars) for violators, and the closure of all mosques and Hussainiyas and opening them only at prayer times to raise the call to prayer.
And it took a decision that education in governmental and private schools, institutes and colleges be electronic, with the exception of the final stages of medical students, and the closure of massage and beauty centers for a period of two weeks.
The committee also banned the holding of wedding parties in banquet halls and closed them from February 15th until further notice.
