The Iraqi Minister of Health, Hassan Al-Tamimi, confirmed that his country has reserved 16 million doses of a vaccine against Corona, and that special teams have been trained to deal with this vaccine.
Al-Tamimi said in a press statement, yesterday, Thursday, that “the new strain of Corona virus has the same symptoms as Covid 19, and it is rapidly spreading but has less effect,” noting that “soon two new laboratories will enter Iraq to examine the new strain.”
He explained that “Iraq needs more than 3 billion dollars to provide all medical supplies, and we need more than 160,000 beds to cover the country’s actual needs.”
Al-Tamimi stressed, “The epidemiological situation in Iraq is under control, as there are only 191 critical cases of Corona patients.”
