Israeli Intelligence Minister Eli Cohen considered that the rapprochement between Qatar and Saudi Arabia increases the chances of normalization with Israel, noting that there are 4 countries with which normalization agreements will be signed within months.
“Of course, we expect to sign more agreements with Saudi Arabia, the Sultanate of Oman, Mauritania and Niger in the coming months,” Cohen said in an interview with Ynet, the Israeli media site, on Wednesday.
He added that “Qatar’s rapprochement with Saudi Arabia also increases the chances of normalization with Israel.”
And Eli Cohen had said in previous press statements that he expected normalization agreements with 6 or 7 Arab and Muslim countries at a later time, after concluding such agreements with Morocco, Sudan, the UAE and Bahrain in the recent period.
