Israeli Channel 12 reported that, in recent days, the security services in the UAE thwarted an Iranian operation, and arrested cell members in Dubai and Abu Dhabi on suspicion of planning operations in the Emirates.
The Hebrew channel said that the UAE authorities are currently conducting investigations with the group’s members, noting that investigators are seeking to find out whether the Israelis are a target of this Iranian cell, which is suspected of planning to carry out some operations.
The channel stated that it is expected that information of the investigations will be shared between the UAE and friendly countries.
The event coincides with the passing year of the assassination of the commander of the Quds Force, Qassem Soleimani, and Iran was accused of planning a revenge operation.
It is worth noting that thousands of Israelis have recently been in Dubai, whether for commercial or entertainment purposes.
