It is produced in Mexico and its benefits make it a serious option for those who require mobility without worrying about the autonomy available. The best thing is that it proudly bears the name of the most recognized sports car of the blue oval firm.

The first thing that caught attention when it was launched worldwide was its bodywork, because by moving away from the traditional coupé cut it generated many comments. It has a total length of 4.7 meters by 1.6 height and a width of 1.9 meters. The wheelbase of almost 3 meters is due to the need to house the battery pack and the entire system, as well as to offer a cabin with the necessary space for 4 passengers.

The exterior shows elements reminiscent of the mustang coupe such as the design of the taillights, the steep drop of the roof as well as the shapes of the headlights. As in other electric vehicles, the grill is a structure without holes for the passage of air, however, in the lower part of the front it has active vents that, according to the cooling needs of the batteries, open to allow the passage of air. .

The 20” aluminum wheels are large enough to allow the Brembo 4-piston disc brakes to cool down. The lighting system is LED and the turn signals are sequential.

Inside the cut is minimalist although a 15.5” touch screen centralizes all the functions and also allows interaction with the vehicle and information regarding the state of the battery charge, for example. The cluster is also digital and is made up of a 10.2” monitor to which the view can be configured. Another of its advantages is that it has Apple CarPlay and Android Auto with which your smartphone is replicated but with which you can also enjoy your music thanks to the 10-speaker Bang & Olufsen sound system. The space in any of the seats is enough even if you are over 1.80 meters tall, even in the second row there is no problem to accommodate your legs.

To drive

The electrical set is made up of two synchronous motors, one for each axis, the traction is AWD. Performance figures are 480 horsepower and 634 lb-ft of torque while the transmission is single-speed electric. Ford marks a range of 402 kilometers but that also depends on our driving style and the mode that we have selected among those that are Engage, Whisper and Unbridled.

The battery charge can be through the mobile charger that comes with the car with which time can be 14 hours or 95 hours, depending on the output voltage. With a 240V and 48A Wallbox, the time goes from 10 to 12 hours. To know the battery charge level, in addition to doing it from the car screens, you can follow it in real time thanks to the FordPass application.

Driving

Thanks to the power delivery of its electrical assembly and systems such as the MagneRide suspension, the control of mass that exceeds 2 tons of weight is within a safety standard.

The passage in a curve is surprising because the bodywork does not suffer from oscillations and because the steering, despite its electrical operation, allows us to know what is happening in the assault. The Brembo brakes transmit security because during the testing period they never showed fatigue. According to the brand, the response from 0 to 100 km/h is 3.6 seconds.

It is a vehicle for daily use. It is comfortable, well insulated from the outside, with an outstanding level of security with systems such as Vector Control, 360º Camera but above all the Co-Pilot 360 set.
