Chris Paul agreed with some speed to a new commitment with the Phoenix Suns for four seasons and 120 million dollars, of which only 75 million are guaranteed. After starring in a scandal season and staying at the gates of his first ring, the veteran point guard has acknowledged that staying in Arizona was a very simple decision despite the rumors that placed him in other franchises.
“It was a very simple decision,” he admitted to the media. USA Today. “Not only do I love the aspect of basketball, but I’m close to my family (they live in Los Angeles) and Phoenix is my family too. I’m excited to get back there, ”he added.
The Suns were second in the West only behind the Utah Jazz with a record of 51-21, and CP3 in its 16th NBA season averaged 16.4 points, 4.5 rebounds, 8.9 assists and 1.4 steals in 31, 4 minutes per match.
“What makes me excited is our dedication every day. You don’t start the season and automatically play the Finals. It’s another building process, and I’m looking forward to going through this experience with those guys who made it this far for the first time in my career. We are together again on this journey ”, he highlighted.
