Italian police announced today, Tuesday, that a woman has been arrested in connection with the killing of an Albanian couple whose bodies were found cut in four bags near Florence.
The bodies of the couple were discovered earlier this month in a field near Soliciano Prison, and they were identified as Spitim and Teuta Basho, as the husband and wife were reported missing in November 2015.
They had traveled to Italy to visit their son, who was imprisoned in Soliciano for drug-related offenses.
Police said that their son’s 36-year-old friend, who is also Albanian, was arrested and accused of murder and mutilation of the bodies and hiding them.
