A bemused Woolworths shopper has shared a hilarious photo showing how her ‘oven safe’ lasagne meal became a culinary disaster despite her following instructions.
Sydney shopper Kate posted photos online of her deformed Woolworths Macro grass-fed beef lasagne – which had melted into the plastic packaging.
The woman was shocked to discover the packaging was clearly not ‘oven safe’.

‘”Put it in the oven” they said. “It’ll be safe”, they said,’ she wrote on Facebook.
But the woman’s dinner fail didn’t stop her from finishing her meal.
‘I scraped it out of the box and ate it anyway’, she said.
Facebook users were quick to comment on the dinner bungle.
‘Perfect way to end 2020’, one wrote.

Another said the woman’s oven was on par with a crematorium.
‘They said to put it in the oven, dear. Not the crematorium’, another said.
A Woolworths spokesperson told Daily Mail Australia they are disappointed about the customer’s experience and will investigate the issue further.
‘We take great pride in offering our customers the best products and are disappointed that wasn’t the case on this occasion,’ the spokesperson said.
‘We’ll get in touch with the customer to understand how this happened’.

Woolworths said there have been no similar complaints from other customers.
‘We’re not aware of any other reports on a similar nature about this product, at this time’.
‘We encourage customers to contact their local store for an exchange or refund if they are ever disappointed with the quality of our products’, a spokesperson said.
