‘If you win, I’ll double your purse – but if you lose, you donate it to my charity’: Jake Paul tempts Tyron Woodley with massive bet during heated face off ahead of August showdown
- YouTuber Jake Paul is set to fight ex-UFC champion Tyrone Woodley in August
- The pair faced-off for the first time in Miami, exchanging insults for four minutes
- Paul has offered to double Woodley’s money if the former welterweight wins
- If the influencers wins, the MMA fighter will have to give his purse to charity
Tyrone Woodley is set to make seven figures before he even steps through the ropes to face Jake Paul, but the YouTuber has now offered to double the former UFC champions’ purse if he wins.
There’s a catch, though. If Paul’s arm is raised at the end of the fight, Woodley will be forced to donate all the money he earns to charity.
The Americans are set to face-off on August 28 in Miami, as the influencer continues his multi-million boxing-based campaign for fame, which has launched him to stardom in the mainstream.

The pair faced-off for the first time in Miami, trading insults before the August 28th matchup
In their first face-off, Paul referenced his acting career on children’s TV, telling Woodley: ‘You’re about to get beat up by a Disney kid, pretty embarrassing for you.’
The 39-year-old responded: ‘One round, you down,’ before going on to say: ‘Showtime are going to need to add a ‘no b**** out’ clause for this one.
‘Once he sees me training and grinding, you’re going to go b****.’
That’s when Paul revealed his bet: ‘If you’re so confident, how about if you win I’ll double your purse?

Woodley defended his welterweight UFC championship title five times in a stunning career
‘But if you lose, you have to donate to my charity, put your money where your mouth is.’
Woodley ignored the proposition, repeatedly chanting ‘I’ll beat your a**’ instead.
Paul offered Ben Askren the same bet before humiliating the 36-year-old former UFC star with a round-one knockout in April.
Askren – who showed-up unfit and showing few signs of training – passed-up on the offer, and Woodley will almost certainly do the same, with both men principally returning to the ring for a massive pay-day.
Woodley’s agent has revealed that victory for the UFC man, who lost his last four fights in the UFC, will trigger a rematch and another big bucks fight.

‘That’s how much this is a scary fight to them,’ Malki Kawa told MMA Fighting. ‘If we win this fight, if Jake Paul wants it, then we have to run it back with him.’
On Woodley’s end of the deal, Kawa added: ‘He’s getting paid really well. It’s one of the best deals I’ve ever done.
‘For a guy in his situation, it was a tremendous deal. He’s getting a large base number. He’s getting a cut of the pay-per-view globally. He’s participating in a lot of different things.
‘He should walk away with a multi-million dollar payday. His base guarantee is in the millions already. Add on all the extra stuff, it’s a really nice payday.’
