Yesterday, Sunday, the Japanese Ministry of Health announced that it had recorded the eighth infection in the country with the mutated Corona virus, after a first infection was diagnosed in the capital, Tokyo, of a fiftieth Japanese woman who returned from Britain.
The ministry stated that the infected woman underwent corona tests upon her arrival at Haneda Airport in Tokyo on December 13, and the results were negative (i.e., not infected). However, her mild fever and sore throat later forced the woman to undergo additional medical tests, and she ended up in hospital last Tuesday. The Ministry confirmed that this woman voluntarily isolated herself after arriving from the airport to her home, and did not contact anyone, respecting the preventive measures to curb the spread of the epidemic.

Health authorities at airports usually require returnees from abroad to isolate themselves in their homes and preventively for a period of two weeks, even if the results of the Corona tests on them are negative.
And Japan announced the first infections in the country with the new strain of Corona virus last Friday, after its symptoms appeared on 5 people returning from Britain, including a pilot, after examining them at the airport. The Ministry of Health reassured citizens, saying that it does not expect the spread of the new strain, thanks to early diagnosis of injuries and voluntary isolation of the owners themselves in a preventive effort.
