Until just a couple of days ago, the Utah Jazz boasted of being the only team that had not yet included any of its players in the NBA’s health and safety protocols.
However, the first cases have occurred coinciding with the beginning of the year 2022. Joe Ingles was in charge of uncork the situation. Since this Thursday he is accompanied by Rudy Gobert after testing positive for COVID-19.
Thus, the Jazz have wasted no time looking for replacements. The franchise itself has announced the hiring of Danuel House and Norvel Pelle under a ten-day agreement. Both players were without a team, having last played for the Knicks on similar temporary contracts.
However, these are not the only casualties that the team led by Quin Snyder has. The Jazz travel to Toronto this Friday with more absences: Donovan Mitchell, Mike Conley and Bojan Bogdanovic, in addition to the doubts of Royce O’Neale, Jordan Clarkson, Rudy Gay and Hassan Whiteside.
