After going up 3-0 on the Los Angeles Lakers on Saturday night, several members of the Denver Nuggets echoed sentiments of staying focused against one of the game’s greatest ever players.
No team has ever swept LeBron James before the NBA Finals and not only does Denver have the chance to finally complete that milestone, but it would also be a chance for them to record the first-ever series sweep in franchise history.
‘I mean, s*** that’s LeBron man,’ Nuggets veteran forward Jeff Green Sunday after the Nuggets watched film at their team hotel.
‘He’s done some amazing things throughout these last 20 years. For me, we have to end it.
‘It’s like, you can’t continue to give him life. The more life you give him, the more confidence he gains and the more confidence he instills in his teammates. So for me, it has to end [Monday].’

Bruce Brown and Nikola Jokic echoed similar sentiments of keeping the pressure on the Lakers
Green was not the only veteran member of the team to who stated a desire to keep the pressure on the Lakers.

‘I’m not going to say that I’m scared,’ MVP candidate and superstar center Nikola Jokic said.
‘But I’m worried because they have LeBron on the other side and he is capable of doing everything.’
Immediately after the game during his post-game interview star point guard Jamal Murray also said: ‘Five more to go,’ in reference to picking up the final win vs LA before turning the team’s attention to securing four wins in the NBA Finals.
The Lakers don’t appear to be hiding from the possibility of being eliminated without picking up a win in the series either.
‘It’s a very real thing,’ Lakers coach Darvin Ham said of the Lakers being fueled to avoid a 4-0 finish to their season.
