While in Istanbul ahead of a performance at the Yenikapi Festival Park, Jennifer Lopez was briefly turned away from a high-end boutique. The singer was visiting the city’s upscale Istinye Park mall on Monday when she attempted to enter the Chanel store. According to Turkish media reports, a security guard who did not recognize the star informed her the store was at capacity.
Unfazed by the situation, Lopez reportedly responded, “OK, no problem,” and continued shopping. Although security staff later located her and extended an invitation to the store, she is said to have declined.
The incident is another recent example of Lopez handling an unexpected situation with grace. During a concert on July 25, she experienced a wardrobe malfunction when her skirt came loose and fell to the floor. Rather than interrupt the show, she tossed the detached skirt into the audience and joked about the mishap, telling the crowd, “I’m glad I had underwear on. I don’t usually wear underwear.”
The performance in Istanbul was part of her “Up All Night: Live in 2025” world tour, which began in Spain on July 8 and includes stops across Europe, the Middle East, and Central Asia.
Following the tour, the star will next be seen in the anticipated film adaptation of the musical Kiss of the Spider Woman. The movie, also starring Diego Luna and directed by Bill Condon, is scheduled for an October 10 release.
