(CNN) — Father’s Day got a little intense when Jennifer Lopez shared a shirtless photo of her husband, Ben Affleck, on her Instagram account on Sunday.
“Dad appreciation post,” Lopez wrote in the message that accompanied the image of Affleck, in which he is seen flexing his abs in front of the mirror, in what appears to be a bathroom.
Lopez also wished “dad” Affleck and “all the amazing dads” a Happy Father’s Day. And he added: “We love and appreciate you more than you can imagine.”
The artist also posted video footage of the couple, including the iconic clip of Lopez and Affleck kissing on the yacht during the 2002 “Jenny From the Block” music video and two photos of them cuddling up in bed.
The two have children from previous relationships. Lopez is the mother of twins Emme and Max, whom she had with singer Marc Anthony, and Affleck shares three children, Violet, Seraphina and Samuel, with her ex-wife Jennifer Garner.
Lopez previously opened up about her family dynamics in the December 2022 “On The JLo” newsletter, recounting how they celebrated their first Christmas after getting married.
“We have mixed up our families, doubled the people, doubled the fun, doubled the love, doubled the gifts and tripled the chaos!!”
Garner, who was married to Affleck for 10 years before they filed for divorce in 2017, also paid tribute to Affleck on Father’s Day.
“Shout out to BGA – no one loves their kids like you love ours, happy Father’s Day Ben!” he wrote in a post on his Instagram on Sunday.
Affleck and Lopez first met on the set of the 2001 film “Gigli,” in which they both starred. They got engaged in 2002, but separated in 2004 before getting married.
In 2021 they got back together and eventually tied the knot in 2022. And here we are, in 2023, witnessing Affleck’s Father’s Day abs courtesy of Lopez’s camera.
