Jeremy Vine slams ‘extraordinary’ minute police officer accuses bike owner of ‘public purchase offence’

Jeremy Vine has slammed officers from the Metropolitan Police who pulled more than a bicycle owner and accused him of a ‘public purchase offence’ after he swore at their unmarked auto parked in a bus lane.

The cyclist captured the moment on his helmet digital camera, recording a four-moment exchange with officers in Wandsworth, London, a person of whom warned he could be ‘overran’ or ‘stabbed’ for the expletive.

Cyclist and presenter Jeremy Vine shared the clip to his followers, evaluating it to a ‘Comic Aid sketch’. He added: ‘You should not swear simply because – er, terrible people may defeat you up.’
