The visit of American actor Jerry Seinfeld to Israel topped the search engines during the past few hours, and was met with some disapproval from the pioneers of social media platforms, especially those in solidarity with Gaza.
This man has become the un funniest person in the world. Holding a killing machine in one hand and trying to look tough just doesn’t cut it. @jerryseinfeld vile and disgusting

More than two months after the start of the Israeli war on Gaza, starting last October 7, Seinfeld decided to go with his family to Tel Aviv on a solidarity trip, during which he visited the families of prisoners detained by the Palestinian resistance and was keen to console them.

He also toured Kibbutz Be’eri and visited the headquarters of the “Brothers in Arms” organization, which began as part of the protests against judicial reform promoted by the government of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. With Operation “Al-Aqsa Flood,” the organization decided to suspend all its activities and become the largest relief organization in Israel.
Within the framework of the same visit, Seinfeld met with the leaders of the organization for a talk that included learning about their activities during the recent war.
He is there now, though!

I will always stand with Israel
The visit was not Seinfeld’s first reaction since “Al-Aqsa Flood.” On October 10, he posted a picture of a woman carrying the Israeli flag on his personal Instagram account, and commented on it, saying, “I lived and worked on a kibbutz when I was 16 years old, and I loved our Jewish homeland.” Since then, my heart has been broken by these attacks and atrocities. I will always stand with Israel and the Jewish people.”
The American actor also participated – along with more than 700 Hollywood film and television professionals – by signing an open letter condemning the Palestinian side. This letter was issued by the Creative Community for Peace Foundation and called for support for Israel and for making every effort to return the detainees.
Among those who participated in the signing were Israeli actress Gal Gadot, American actress Jamie Lee Curtis, her compatriot Debra Messing, American actor Chris Pine, and Liev Schreiber, along with American comedian Amy Schumer, producer and actor Michael Douglas, director Antoine Fuqua, and many others.
This is what prompted some people in solidarity with Palestine to gather on December 9 and demonstrate in front of the Landmark Theater in Syracuse, New York, in protest against a stand-up comedy show conducted by Seinfeld, accusing him of complicity and participation in genocide against the Palestinian people.
Retrospective solidarity
This support and solidarity is not the first of its kind in the history of Seinfeld in general. In 2015, the 69-year-old visited Tel Aviv for the first time, to present 4 entertainment shows.
In 2018, he traveled there for the second time, where he went on a tour to the “Camp Caliber 3” of the Israeli army, visited a military airbase, and took pictures of himself and his family with some military trainees, during which he appeared training with them in shooting.
Because of that visit, Seinfeld was subjected to severe attack, especially since this camp encourages military occupation and political subjugation of the Palestinians living in Gaza and the West Bank using violence, which prompted him to delete the related pictures later, but he did not change his position on supporting Israel.
Jerry Seinfeld and his family play fascists in the West Bank. Indoctrinating his young children to murder Palestinians and steal land. There is nothing funny about apartheid, occupation, settlement expansion, and executing occupied Palestinians. https://t.co/hypj7NLmwd

Military tourism is disgusting. Who in their right mind thinks a suicidebomber theme park is a good idea? #seinfeld https://t.co/CvudhvZ6Pz
