Jodi Gordon’s new boyfriend has faced court over an apprehended violence order taken out by police a week after the Neighbours star gushed about their relationship.
Investment portfolio manager Sebastian Blackler appeared briefly in Sydney’s Downing Centre Local Court on Thursday without Gordon but accompanied by a lawyer.
Police took out an interim AVO to protect Gordon, 35, from Blackler, 30, after attending her eastern suburbs home six days ago.
Matthew Edwards, for Blackler, indicated his client would be resisting the police application for an extended order.
‘I’ve had a conversation with [the prosecutor] today to negotiate the AVO,’ Mr Edwards told the court. ‘Unfortunately, we haven’t resolved the matter.’
Blackler declined to comment on the order when approached by Daily Mail Australia outside court .
Police were called to Gordon’s home at Double Bay shortly after midnight last Friday after reports of a disturbance.

‘Around 12.30am on Friday, November 27, 2020, officers were called to a unit at Wiston Gardens at Double Bay,’ a NSW Police spokesman said.
‘Following inquiries, officers from Eastern Suburbs suspended the investigation at the request of the victim. No further action is expected at this time.’
Police subsequently took out an interim AVO to prevent Blackler from assaulting, threatening, stalking, harassing or intimidating Gordon.
Sebastian was also prohibited from damaging Gordon’s property, and cannot physically approach her for at least 12 hours after drinking alcohol or taking illicit drugs.
Daily Mail Australia is not suggesting Mr Blackler is alleged to have done any of those things, and police have laid no charges against him.
Gordon’s six-year-old daughter from her marriage to retired NRL star Braith Anasta, was not believed to have been present at the time of the disturbance at her home.
Blackler is a British-born investment portfolio manager. It is believed he and Gordon began going out some weeks before she revealed the relationship on November 21

The incident came just six days after Gordon had boasted about her fledgling relationship with Blackler on Instagram, where she shared photographs of the beaming couple cuddling up together.
‘When life gets wonderful…’ she captioned the post on November 21.
It is understood Gordon had been dating Blackler for several weeks before making their romance ‘Instagram official’.
Fans congratulated the soap star on her new romance, with one writing: ‘You deserve it, Jodi.’
Another wrote: ‘So happy to see this honey. You deserve it. Both looking so happy and glowing.’

Three days after the interim AVO was issued Blacker was seen returning to her home carrying a black garment bag from the backseat of a car.

Gordon, who won a modelling competition aged 13, married Anasta in October 2012 and the couple announced their separation in December 2015.
From 2005 to 2010 the actor played Martha MacKenzie in Home and Away. She won a Logie for most popular new female talent in 2006.
Gordon portrayed English teacher Elly Conway on Neighbours from 2015 until announcing she had quit the show in January this year.
Magistrate Michael Antrum adjourned the AVO application until December 9.
