Much has been said these months that Tyrese Haliburton could come to Philadelphia in the transfer of Ben Simmons. It seems out of the question at this point, but that didn’t stop the Kings’ second-year point guard from showing off at the Wells Fargo Center.
Haliburton signed what is so far the best offensive performance of his career to go with 38 points, which includes an eight-point run in the last minute of the game that gave Sacramento the opportunity to take the victory; however, Harrison Barnes missed the triple that would have been decisive at the buzzer.
It was a great game for a boy who seems called to be great things in the NBA, but the point is that he had one of the great candidates to be MVP of the season in front of him: Joel Embiid. The center of the 76ers was once again the boss on the floor with 36 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists that led his team to their 14th win in the last 17 games, a huge streak that places Philadelphia in third place in the Eastern Conference at 30-19.
