Since she was seven years old, Joey King has been performing professionally.
Since then, King’s name has been associated with an increasing number of motion pictures and television programs. A Family Affair and Uglies, two movies starring Joey King, are now in production and will be released this year.
1. Bullet Train (2022)
An assignment is given to an American agent with the codename “Ladybug” (Brad Pitt) to retrieve a briefcase with cash from a bullet train traveling to Kyoto. Although Joey King has been in numerous movies and TV episodes throughout her career, Bullet Train improved her acting skills. Her character as a teenage assassin is not only very different from other roles she has played, but the movie is also full of action sequences that, as we all know, are never simple to pull off.
2. The Princess (2022)
A medieval country ruled by the King (Ed Stoppard) and Queen (Alex Reid), whose two children are the Princess (Joey King) and her younger sister Violet, is the setting of the period-action thriller The Princess. The King decided to marry his eldest daughter, the Princess, to the prince because the royal pair didn’t have any sons who could take over and control their nation.
3. The Kissing Booth (2018, 2020, 2021)
In a kissing booth, it all began. Elle (Joey King), a high school freshman who has never been kissed, finds herself sharing a kiss with Noah Flynn, the school’s bad boy and crush when she sets up a kissing booth at the Spring Carnival (Jacob Elordi). The only issue is that because Noah is her best friend Lee’s (Joel Courtney) brother, he is forbidden by their friendship agreement. Elle, on the other hand, chooses to go with her heart and pursue Noah.
The third chapter focuses on Elle’s ultimate bucket list before leaving for college herself. In contrast, the second installment concerns their adaptation to a long-distance relationship as Noah leaves for college. Joey King has subsequently gained wider notoriety and even earned a deal with Netflix due to her performance as Elle in The Kissing Booth movie series.
4. The Act (2019)
Gypsy Blanchard, the daughter of Dee Dee Blanchard, is portrayed by Joey King in this limited-run true crime drama (Patricia Arquette). Joey King’s first project for which he was nominated for a role in a movie or television show was The Act. As a result, she was nominated for several awards, including the Critics’ Choice Television Awards, the Golden Globe Awards, and the Primetime Emmy Awards, despite not winning any of them.
5. Radium Girls (2018)
Bessie and Josephine “Jo” Cavallo, two sisters who work at American Radium and decorate watch dials, are portrayed by Joey King and Abby Quinn. However, things change when Jo becomes ill. Bessie later learns that her illness is the same as the reason for their eldest sister Jo’s passing: being exposed to radium at their place of employment, becoming poisoned by radiation, and being diagnosed with syphilis.
6. Going in Style (2017)
Going in Style is a heist drama comedy movie that centers on Willie (Morgan Freeman), Joe (Michael Caine), and Albert (Alan Arkin), three lifelong friends whose pensions are eliminated when the business they worked for is acquired. Unfortunately, Willie’s kidney disease necessitates a transplant. Joe learns that he, his daughter Rachel (Maria Dizzia), and granddaughter Brooklyn (Joey King) will all live on the streets in less than a month.
Although the Going in Style remake fell short of 1979 original, it was nevertheless a step up for young Joey King because she got to work with some of Hollywood’s biggest stars, including Morgan Freeman, Michael Caine, and Alan Arkin.
7. Fargo (2014)
The first season of Fargo, which is based on the 1996 movie of the same name, centers on a group of individuals, including the friendship between deceitful hitmen Billy Bob Thornton and Martin Freeman, who met at a hospital and got involved in a string of crimes; police deputy Molly Solverson (Allison Tolman), who is after Malvo and Nygaard; and the good Officer Gus Grimly (Joey King).
Fargo was among the initial projects where King had a more significant role in a television series, even though she had a long list of television performances. In Fargo’s second season, she appeared as a special guest star.
8. White House Down (2013)
Veteran John Cale (Channing Tatum) chooses to interview for the Secret Service to impress his daughter, Emily (Joey King), and gets them a pair of tickets for a tour of the White House, where the interview is held. Cale must now protect his daughter, the president, and the nation.
9. Conjuring
They relocated to a remote farmhouse in Rhode Island with their five children, including Joey King, who played Christine Perron, Roger (Ron Livingston), and Carolyn Perron (Lili Taylor). Sadie, the family dog, was first hesitant to enter the house, which was the first indication of what was ahead for the Perrons. 10. Ramona and Beezus (2010)
In the family adventure comedy Ramona and Beezus, Joey King co-stars with pop star and actress Selena Gomez in one of her earliest acting roles in a feature film. Ramona Quimby (Joey King) is an ambitious and eccentric third-grader who frequently causes her older sister, Beezus, to worry about her mischief. Ramona makes numerous attempts to lessen her family’s financial obligations after their father, Robert (John Corbett), is fired as a company executive. Still, her fearless attitude constantly gets in the way.
