(Trends Wide) — John Stamos posted a moving tribute to his dear friend and former co-star Bob Saget on Tuesday.
Saget, who died Sunday at 65, has been remembered by family, friends and supporters.
Stamos shared his love for Bob Saget on his verified Instagram account with a photo of the two of them in formal wear. “I’m not ready to accept that he’s gone. I’m not going to say goodbye just yet,” he wrote.
“I’m going to imagine him out there, still on the streets, doing what he loves with all his heart and humor,” Stamos continued. “He’s standing on stage, doing great! Another two-hour set in front of a couple hundred of the luckiest people on the planet.”
Saget was in Florida for the weekend as part of his comedy tour and had posted on his verified social media accounts what turned out to be his latest show. He was found dead in his hotel room in Orlando the next day.
“At this time, there is no evidence of drug use or criminal action,” Chief Medical Examiner Joshua Stephany said in a statement sent to Trends Wide on Monday. “The cause and manner of death are pending further study,” he completed.
Stamos, who co-starred in “Full House” with Saget and its sequel series “Fuller House,” writes about a scene where, after the show, his friend is “on his way to the hotel, calling his beautiful and loving wife, Kelly. He says he feels like 26 again, alive! “
“He tells her that he loves her with all his heart. And when he comes to the hotel to rest his head on the pillow, he misses his daughters, his family, his friends,” Stamos wrote. “God, he loves us all so much. And he goes to sleep dreaming of when we will meet again, and he is smiling. I know in my heart that he is smiling, still hearing the laughter of a few hours before.”
And he concluded his post: “I’m just not ready to say goodbye yet. Maybe tomorrow. Maybe.”
