During his speech at a press conference, Johnson stressed that “the Oxford vaccine is safe and the Pfizer vaccine is safe. The unsafe thing is infection with the Coronavirus, so it is very important that we all receive the vaccine as soon as it is our turn.”
“I will personally receive the vaccination tomorrow, and the center I will go to is currently using the Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine … and this is what I will get,” he added.
The Agency for the Regulation of Medicines and Health Care Products in Britain announced earlier today that it had not identified any evidence indicating that the “AstraZeneca” vaccine against the Corona virus that causes “Covid-19” infection causes blood clots.
A group of European Union countries, including France, Germany, Austria, Italy, the Netherlands and Spain, had previously suspended the approval of the “AstraZeneca” vaccine, due to information indicating possible side effects related to blood clots discovered in the two vaccines.
In light of these developments, the WHO Vaccine Safety Committee said that the feasibility of using the vaccine “AstraZeneca” outweighs its risks, and recommended the continuation of immunization with it.
