Joining Messi in Miami, Neymar? Brazil soccer star watches Nuggets beat Heat – just hours after his friend confirmed sensational MLS move – with Shakira and DJ Khaled also there
Lionel Messi isn’t the only one who’s a fan of Miami, as his friend and ex-teammate Neymar was spotted at the Kaseya Center taking in the NBA Finals on Wednesday night.
The Brazilian attacker posed with the Larry O’Brien trophy, warmed up with Jimmy Butler and sat courtside near fellow soccer star Paul Pogba as the Heat took on the Nuggets in Game 3.
Neymar’s outing came just hours after Messi confirmed his intention to join Inter Miami this summer, following PSG’s announcement that the seven-time Ballon d’Or winner would depart at the end of the season.
Messi’s Paris exit spelled the end of his second stint with Neymar, but there are apparently no hard feelings between the pair judging by the latter’s Instagram tribute to his friend.

He wrote: ‘Brother… it didn’t turn out as we thought but we tried everything. It was a pleasure to share two more years with you.
‘Good luck in your new stage and be happy. I love you.’
Messi replied that Neymar was a ‘beautiful person.’
Neymar wasn’t the only household name in attendance on Wednesday, as rapper J. Cole, producer DJ Khaled and Heat legend Dwyane Wade were also in attendance.
Pop star Shakira, who divorced from Messi and Neymar’s former Barca teammate Gerard Pique last year, was also in attendance.

While the NBA season is still going on, Miami looks like it will soon be welcoming Messi to town.
And the Dolphins’ Tyreek Hill is looking forward to the move, welcoming the Argentine star in a short video.
‘I just wanna say welcome to the 305, Lionel Messi,’ Hill said in a video posted to the Dolphins’ Twitter account.
‘Now we got two No. 10s, but I just wanna know which one is the fastest. But anyways, congrats to you man.’
