The hearing against the former federal deputy from Morena, Saul Huerta, accused of alleged aggravated equated rape, was postponed after the aggrieved minor presented symptoms of Covid-19.
The minor under 15 years of age, with initials CJRL, would appear before a Control Judge of the East Prison to present his testimony against Huerta. Luis Hernández, the minor’s lawyer, said that he is in good health and is only isolated pending his recovery.
“He is fine, beyond the symptoms presented, but by protocol he must be isolated; the parents are interested in this ending as soon as possible”, affirmed the lawyer.
Luis Hernández said that they will not accept any reparation agreement. “There is no reparation agreement in this criminal type of the crime of rape and well, I am not aware that the parties have approached to try to seek compensation for the damage,” he said.
He assured that he had sufficient elements to prove Saúl Huerta’s responsibility in the crime of aggravated equated rape, and that the judge will sentence him.
Wilfrido Castillo, attorney for the former legislator of Brunette, stated that after deferring the hearing, the judge did not set a new date.
