Tonight the Brooklyn Nets will play for the second night in a row. This time against the Orlando Magic who occupy the tail of the Eastern Conference. Which makes the game the perfect occasion to rest star players who pile up a considerable load of minutes at this point. However, the Nets have not typified Kevin Durant’s loss as ‘rest’, but rather they refer her to a pain in the player’s right shoulder.
The problem seems to be a détente that the franchise does not give too much importance to. In fact, they anticipate that the player will be ready to play against the Cavaliers next Monday, November 22. However, this is relevant because an injury could mean unexpected absences from the player who, thus far, sustains much of the Brooklyn Nets game.
Durant averages 28.6 points per game that make him the second-highest scorer of the season behind only Curry. But above all the feeling that it is the only constant in a team supposedly built to achieve the ring. The Nets are adding victories for sheer talent, but nothing suggests that they will be able to form a great basketball team outside of their individualities. Durant’s absence tonight aims to discover who the Brooklyn Nets are beyond their immeasurable figure and how crucial their presence is to make the rest of things meaningful.
